We’re looking for a SEND Tutor to join our friendly and passionate team at our Waterfront Training Centre on a fixed term contract. If you’re someone who thrives on supporting young people with EHCPs, delivering high-quality education, and helping every learner shine – this could be your perfect role.

✨ What You’ll Be Doing:

🎓 Delivering learning that sticks – Whether it’s vocational or employability skills, you’ll plan and deliver engaging group sessions that support the individual needs of students with SEND.

📚 Creating impact – From assessing work and giving meaningful feedback to chairing EHCP reviews, you’ll help students build their knowledge, skills and behaviours (KSBs).

🤝 Being a support superstar – Working closely with the Local Authority, families, and support services, you’ll ensure each young person receives the tailored help they need to succeed.

🎯 Driving progression – From enterprise projects to external speakers and inspirational visits, you’ll bring learning to life and prepare learners for employment, independence or further study.

🛠️ Making reasonable adjustments – You’ll ensure everything is in place for your learners, including equipment, support and exam access arrangements.

🎓 Qualifications and Experience

We’re looking for someone who brings both passion and professionalism to this rewarding role. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in teaching and supporting young people with SEND, alongside relevant qualifications.

Essential:

• Level 2 in English and Maths (minimum)
• Level 4 Teaching Qualification
• Level 3 qualification in Dyslexia, ADHD, and Autism
• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in the sector subject area

Desirable:

• Level 5 Teaching Qualification
• Experience delivering SEND provision to 16–24-year-olds
• Level 3 in English and/or Maths
• Postgraduate Specialist Teaching Qualification in SEND
• Safeguarding and/or Equality and Diversity qualifications
