Student Counsellor (Part-Time) - 12 month contract

Are you passionate about supporting young people and adults to overcome challenges and achieve their potential? We are looking for a dedicated Counsellor to work with learners and apprentices across our centres, providing vital wellbeing and mental health support both face-to-face and online.
In this rewarding role, you’ll play a key part in helping learners navigate personal, emotional and psychological challenges, while promoting a positive, supportive learning environment across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver 1:1 and small group counselling sessions to support learners’ wellbeing and mental health
Support learners with a range of challenges, including emotional, psychological, health and relationship issues
Build strong relationships with staff and promote the benefits of the counselling service
Assess individual needs and identify appropriate interventions or referrals
Work closely with safeguarding teams to ensure concerns are managed in line with legislation
Maintain accurate, confidential case records and manage an effective diary system
Communicate clearly with staff to support learner attendance and engagement
Quality & Compliance
Follow safeguarding, Prevent and data protection requirements at all times
Keep up to date with relevant legislation and best practice
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 - full-time equivalent.
Part-time - 18.75 hours per week.
Contract: Fixed term contract until 31st July 2027.
