Hours: Full-Time 8.30-4.30 (Mon-Thurs) 8.30-2.30 (Fri)
Location: 1st Floor, Cleveland Court, Cleveland Street, Wolverhampton, WV1 3HR
This role is all about supporting our students' well-being, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and ready to succeed. You'll be the go-to person for safeguarding, attendance support, and providing guidance that empowers students to achieve their goals. Think of yourself as the person who helps turn potential into success!
β¨ What Youβll Be Doing β¨
π¦ΈββοΈSafeguarding Superhero
π‘οΈ Lead on all safeguarding matters, making sure every student feels safe, supported, and listened to.
π Keep records up to date and stay in the know about safeguarding legislation and guidance.
π€ Work with outside agencies to get students the help they need, when they need it most.
π Attendance Champion
π Encourage students to turn up, stay engaged, and get the most from their time with us.
π Track attendance, follow up on absences, and make sure students stay on track.
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Meet with parents/guardians to tackle attendance concerns head-on and find positive solutions.
π‘Advice & Guidance Guru
π Inspire students to aim high, believe in themselves, and achieve their dreams.
π§ Signpost useful resources, career advice, and support services to keep students informed and empowered.
π¬ Be a friendly and approachable source of advice, encouragement, and support.
π Progression Pro
π€ Work with staff to make sure every student moves on to something positive β whether thatβs further study, training , or a job.
π Help students identify their next steps and stay focused on their goals.
π Keep in touch with students post-program to cheer them on as they smash their goals!
β What You Need to Bring to the Table β
β Level 2 in English and Maths
β Solid knowledge of safeguarding legislation
β Experience working with 16-18-year-olds
βCommitted to delivering high-quality learning experiences and positive outcomes.
β Amazing communication skills (you'll be chatting with students, parents, and agencies).
β Brilliant organisation and planning skills.
β A positive, solution-focused attitude with the ability to think on your feet.
β The ability to handle challenging situations with patience and determination.
β Most importantly, a passion for motivating and inspiring young people.
